Spring Update – COVID-19

By James Nurthen | March 24, 2020

Alameda Islander Families,

We want to keep everyone updated on how the club is dealing with the COVID-19 health pandemic. To do this we will send out an update every Monday with any new information. We will also send out updates if anything significant arises during the week.

As of now we are waiting for further guidance from our soccer governing organizations on how to proceed with the spring season. Currently, all in person activities have been cancelled untill April 12th in compliance with US Club Soccer and California Governor Gavin Newsom’s directives to help protect public health and safety. The ASC board and other groups have been holding regular online meetings to formulate a plan for moving forward.

Players can continue their individual training. The following resources are available:

  • The Norcal Premier HW App – TopYa!
  • Alameda SC daily challenge on Alameda Soccer Club Instagram. Players can post videos of themselves completing it along with challenges for others to complete. Please tag the videos with #ASCchallenge.
  • Our Director of Coaching, Adam Butler, also sent out a workout for players to complete this week which can be found in a previous post.
  • Players can also try the BeastMode app, My Soccer Training.

Best Regards,
Alameda Soccer Club
